Seven members of Lisvane Art Workshop made the short trip to Goetre Wharf on 21st June. We were not put off by a few spots of rain in the car park before setting off, and we were rewarded with a day that was dry and got progressively warmer as it went on.

We spent the first couple of hours ‘doing our own thing’ - painting, sketching or taking photographs. There’s plenty of subjects there - the canal with boats in abundance, and quieter, tranquil stretches only a short walk along the towpath, not to mention the bridges, lime kilns, cottages …… Then we met back at the visitor centre and left for the nearby Horseshoe Inn (excellent).

After a very leisurely lunch, we drove back home in the sunshine. A very enjoyable, fun day - thank you all for your company.
