Annual General Meeting

A number of topics were discussed at our recent AGM on 2nd October. It was suggested that we expanded the Rolling Exhibition into the small hall to accommodate some larger paintings, using mirror plate fixings, but it was pointed out that these were not as secure as the Cardiff Frame security fixings. In the end, no-one was willing to take over running of the Rolling Exhibition.

It was also decided not to have a pitch on the field at the Lisvane Festival as the larger part of the visitors to the field were of the younger generation and wouldn’t be attracted to a society which met on a weekday afternoon.

It was suggested that we produce an annual calendar in time for the Annual Exhibition in December. Ian agreed to look into this.

As no-one was willing to take over as programme secretary, we decided to arrange our annual programme informally with suggestions of ideas from members so it will be interesting to see what the outcome of that will be.

Ian was elected as Chairman and Exhibition Organiser;

Sherry was elected as treasurer;

Pam agreed to continue managing the Facebook page and

Alison agreed to produce reports for Lisvane Link.
