Lisvane Art Workshop

A good number of members and guests were present on 16th May to see Howard Jones give us an interesting demonstration of his watercolour techniques. He was very informative, concentrating on composition, colours and tone. He also talked about his own development as an artist, moving away from his earlier influences and a photorealistic style to a much looser style, particularly inspired by the artists John Blockley and Edward Seago. Lots to think about and an inspiring afternoon.

Howard’s finished painting will be raffled at our Annual Exhibition in November.
