Lisvane Art Workshop

The ‘Rolling’ Exhibition

Page 1

Visitors to Lisvane Memorial Hall will have seen in the main hall the display of paintings by members of the Lisvane Art Workshop. There are 11 paintings on display at any one time and all are for sale. As far as possible, these are original paintings, rather than prints. Paintings that are not sold in a three month period are taken down and replaced, hence the term ‘rolling exhibition’. We hope that visitors all enjoy the paintings. Those presently on display are shown above and on the next two pages. If you are interested in purchasing any of these paintings, then (as with any paintings throughout the website) please contact me, Ian Philpot (contact details on Home Page). Please note that prices are determined by the artist and the Art Workshop has no authority to accept a lower offer.

All the paintings hanging are framed in the same frame moulding to enhance the appearance of the exhibition, but these will be changed when sold since the display frames are prepared with security fixings and it is inevitable that some of the frames become damaged while hanging in the hall. Please bear this in mind when viewing. The frames will normally be changed to our standard ‘beech wrap’ moulding, but the buyer may choose an alternative if desired, though there may then be an appropriate price adjustment.

Most paintings will have a mount between the painting and the frame; the size quoted is that of the outside of the mount i.e. the size of the glass.
